The Samir Kassir Foundation and SmartGov has arranged an interactive conference at Bossa Nova Hotel with live streaming on Facebook.
The opening session released the first of its kind report on “E-Government Mapping;
overview of Lebanese GovTech readiness and respect for citizens privacy”
This was followed by a panel discussion hosting the Office of the Minister of State for Administrative Reform, IMPACT (Siren Analytics/ Central Inspection Office), Tripoli Municipality and the Lebanese IT Association to discuss the best e-government practices. After the lunch, the participants splits into two breakout rooms.
Group 1: Enhancing Privacy and Data Safety Practices – Moderated by Mohamad Najem, SMEX Group 2: Technology for Better Local Policies and Services – Moderated by Michel Douaihy, AUB. This conference comes hand in hand with the call for administrative reform; putting a stepping stone towards the realization of the e-government goals for better service delivery and policy making that addresses all privacy and security concerns.
